It has sand, scorching heat and plenty of culture. It still brings the highest number of tourists to India after Kerala. No wonder then that Rajasthan makes a strong cultural statement to all other states in the form of its expos. One such statement is being made in Hyderabad, too.
Ethnix and The Rajastan Tourism Development Corporation are jointly organizing Rajastan Expo - 2001, wherein stalls showcasing a variety of Rajasthani items ranging from handicrafts, block printed textiles, designer bed sheets and blue pottery to cassettes and CDs will be on display. And to take care of the hunger pangs, Ghoomar, Bajra Roti along with garlic chutney, will be in the offing.
The pastoral craftsmen will display their skills and crafts to the audience. The ambience would typically be Rajastani and the attendants will be dressed in traditional dhotis, bundies and colorful turbans, and in singing the Rajastani folk songs will welcome the audience.
This Expo will also have different varieties of Jharoka paintings displayed by Satguru Art 'N' Frames from Jaipur. The exquisite paintings with stunningly carved frames are available in the price range of Rs. 250 to Rs. 2500.
