Perhaps the only thing more enjoyable than playing creator is watching the creation itself come into its own, and quite a few kids are going to realize it today. And all thanks to an organization that realizes that the best time to bring out any dormant artists in them is when he's still in his pre-teens and quite unselfconscious.
The Siri Drawing And Oil Painting Institute was started in 1996 to train students in drawing and oil painting (what else?). On the 26th of June, Siri had organized a painting competition where children in the age groups of 7-9, 10-12 and 13-15 took part. The topic for that competition was 'Landscape'. And the winners in it will be honored with prizes and participation certificates today. The 1, 2 and 3 prizes along with 2 consolation prizes will be given away to the winners of each group. Participation certificates for each participant will also be given.
To entertain the audience, mimicry and a mime show have been planned. Nutan Prasad, the film actor, will be the chief guest, and the Principal of the JNTU College, Peeram, will preside.
