This week if every pub in town looks the same to you, it need not be only that maybe you've had one too many. It's part of a design.
United Breweries, as a part of its campaign to promote the London Pilsner brand of beer, is organizing its launch party at various popular pubs in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It is arranging for the screening of James Bond movies, contests and music shows to entertain the customers at these pubs.
UB has tied up with Outswinger at Baseraa, Passport at Ramada, The Spanish Fly at Asrani, On the Rocks at Yatri Nivas, One Flight Down at Quality Inn, Rockers at Our Place, High Spirits at The Central Court and Blue Moon Bar for this purpose. The ambience at these pubs will bear a festive look with decorations all around. Outswinger claims to have taken care about the backdrops, which are designed to look like some of the prominent locations in London such as the Big Ben and the London Bridge.
Bond movies will be screened at the select pubs. The bartenders and stewards will be attired in traditional tailcoats, white shirts, black trousers and bow ties, to give the customers a 'Londoner' look. Local bands, also attired in English costumes will perform at all these pubs on select dates.
During the serving of the Pilsner beer at these pubs, a questionnaire on the 'London pubs' will be given to every customer to answer. Surprise coupons and prizes will be given away to the winners in these contests.
