No paintbrushes have been harmed during the making of this picture. Now, how many artists can honestly say that?
Deepak Bharadwaj has shown his works in most major cities of the country, and his technique (completely self-taught) is the use of unconventional tools like knives instead of brushes. Deepak, who uses the medium of synthetic enamel on board, prefers alternatives to the traditional brush because of the 3-D imagery that these tools lend to the art.
The exhibition has 35 paintings in all, some of whom are semi-abstracts of Ganesha, along with renditions of landscapes and nature. The showing will be inaugurated by art connoisseur Jagdish Mittal at 1130pm on the 21st at Kakatiya's WelcomArt Gallery.
