If you're buried every time you open your closet door, perhaps it's time to give away some of those old clothes. Some folks out there could really use them.
All you have to do is sort through your old clothes (old - not torn, not dirty - just stuff you're not using anymore), bundle them up and drop them off at your neighbourhood FoodWorld outlet or UTI ATM.
Clothes Bank Punjagutta, which is organising this initiative, will wash/iron and mend the clothes and dispatch them to relief camps/NGOs in areas that are disaster-struck or poverty-ridden. Clothes Bank, managed by the Dr Reddy's Foundation, has sent shipments of clothes to orphanages, old age homes and slums in and around the state.
Children's clothes are particularly hard to come by, so those would be most welcome. Clothes Bank has collection points at the following places. Please contact 2341-4603 for further details.
