On the occasion of the inauguration of Rangamani Charitable Arts Academy, the association is organising a grand musical nite of old melodies, at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, this Thursday.
Titled Akasha Veedhilo Andala Jabili, the event will see noted amateur singers of the city like D A Mitra, K Venkata Rao, Ramana Murthy, Haricharan, Prasanna Lakshmi, Padmavathi, Amantha and Rajini, sing some popular tunes of Ghantasala, M Satyam, SPB, P Susheela, P Leela and K Jamuna Rani. The background music support will be provided by Brahmanandam on the keyboards, Srikanth on the tabla, Nagaraju on the flute, and Achibabu, Phani Kumar and N V S Ramu on other instruments.
The chief guest for the evening is Dr C Narayana Reddy, and the other invitee guests are Y S N Sarma (President, Srikalanidhi), M V Rama Murthy (Music Vidhwan, Sharada Sangeeta Vidhyalaya), B Vijay Kumar (AIR & TV artiste, theater actor and music director), and K Sambasivayya (Dy. Manager, SBH, and theater artiste).
