 Beginning in the 19th century, French parks became the embodiment of a new era 
of working class ideals originating in the French Revolution. This film walks 
you through Parc Monceau, les Buttes de Chaumont, Parc Montsouris and le Bois 
de Boulogne, all of which epitomize these ideals and are imbued with the social, 
democratic and often utopian strivings of the century before the last.
