Shilparamam is presenting a Kuchipudi dance recital by Samhita, a part of its weekly programs of classical dance, this Sunday. Samhita has been learning Kuchipudi since the age of 6, under Suryaprakash, and is currently studying in 10th class. She has performed at some temples and cultural venues around the city. She won the 1st prize in the dance competitions conducted by All The Best Academy, and the Ramoji Film City.
Samhita will start the recital with a Vinayaka Koutvam, followed by Vinayaka Prardhana in Todi ragam, Krishna Shabdam in Mohana ragam, Sadashiva Brahmandara keertana in Saama, Thyagaraja's Nagumomu Galavani in Hamsadhwani, Ramadas' Paluke Bangaramayena in Anandabhairavi, Annamacharya's Alarulu Kuriyaga in Shankarabharanam, a Swarajathi - Taravenu Gopala in Bilahari ragam -, a tarangam - Neelamegha in Mohana ragam -, and a Tillana in Hindola ragam.
The orchestra support for the recital will be provided by Madanapalli Suryaprakash with the nattuvangam, Srivalli Sarma with the vocals, Anil on the violin, Sridharacharya on the mridangam and Venkatesh on the flute.
