At 23, Sunil Lohar has won more awards than most of his batchmates have targeted in their lifetime. Watch him live in town, all this fortnight.
Kalakriti Art Gallery is organising an Artist-In-Residence program by Sunil Lohar from 10th to 24th May. The artist will be available at the venue from 11am till 7pm, and will conduct live painting shows. The audience can interact with the artist and get valuable tips in painting.
A young artist born in 1983, Sunil Lohar did his B F A in painting from the College Of Visual Arts, Gulbarga, and his M F A from the S N School Of Art, University of Hyderabad. He exhibited his works at the Camlin Art Foundation in Bangalore, the 47th National Exhibition of Art in New Delhi, the Bombay Art Society in Mumbai and the Karnataka Lalita Kala Acadamy in Bangalore. This is his 2nd Artist-In-Residence program - the 1st was held last year, also at the Kalakriti Art Gallery.
He was awarded at the College Of Visual Art Annual Exhibition in 2002, the Gold Medal at the 2nd All-India Exhibition in 2003, the Kala Pratibhotsava Award at Bangalore in 2005, the Youth Festival Award at the Gulbarga University in 2006 and the H R D Scholarship in New Delhi.
