Staying in touch with your roots is always a good idea. Especially in times when your son calls someone 'makke-di-roti' when he's really angry. Getting opportunities to use desi stuff whenever possible, is a bonus. Khadi is a phenomenal Indian invention taking the western world by storm. The only other competitor is Yoga but twisting body parts uncomfortably is not usually preferred to wearing clothes. Keeping this in view, Fab India is having a Khadi festival.
Most of the stuff in Khadi is RTW (Ready To Wear). There's going to be a plain colour riot in both ethnic and western wear. There would be different weights of Khadi clothing too - Bijli, fine, heavy, light etc. Printed Khadi and prints on Khadi will also be a part of the festival. Everything from skirts, tops, pants, shirts to salwar kameez would be available. The latest craze super-short trendy Kurtas will be a crowd favourite. The prices range form Rs. 300 to Rs. 700.
