In the days of Doordarshan Glorious, who can forget the early Sunday mornings
just to watch episodes of Ramayan, Mahabharath and Chanakya? When Ram was banished,
we were all sad, when Sita was kidnapped, we were shocked and when Sita was rescued
by Hanuman, cheers and hugs followed. No matter where you are from or who you
are; it's official and it's everywhere, Ravan equals to Darth Vader and Ram is
Luke Skywalker (with a halo and a bow instead of a light saber).

But that was then. If you're looking for a refresher then this one's for you.
Bhaktha Vidhura - this well known and oft-told story of Ramayan is being performed
at Ravindra Bharathi on the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the Kannada Natya
Ranga. The Kannada drama begins from 6:00 in the evening and the play is open
to all. The chief guest for this evening is going to be Ms. Rani Sateesh, the
Karnataka Minister for Kannada and Culture.
