Infinity 2k8, the national-level technical symposium of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University College of Engineering, is being organised on the 22nd and the 23rd of February, at the department's campus in Osmania University. The 2-day festival will feature various onsite and online events, such as:
Technocracy
InfoVerve
A paper presentation competition. The paper must be based on a topic in Computer Science.
Envision
A project presentation competition, it provides the perfect platform to exhibit software developing skills.
Cloning
Participants will be given a piece of code for which they need to write alternative code which behaves exactly the same.
PC Medico
A hardware analyzer. Candidates shall be given a problem statement which they are expected to solve in a limited amount of time.
Quiz-Maven
Biz Bowl
A business quiz. There will be a preliminary round to shortlist 6 teams from the participating teams, and the 6 teams will then compete in 6 rounds. The winner will be the highest scorer from all the six rounds.
QuizITa
An IT quiz. The format and scoring are same as that in Biz Bowl.
Whiz Vachan
A trivia competition. It appears simple and crazy, but is difficult to crack. The format and scoring are same as that in Biz Bowl and QuizITa.
Tekkie Whizz
BugsMate
A debugging contest which essays the skill and expertise of Computer Science students at 3 fast-paced and exhilarating levels.
Brookz Law
This event provides you the platform to create a law/rule and appropriate explanation or proof which might also be outrageous blasphemy. The best will be rewarded.
AlgoMania
Open your mind and develop an algorithm. Creative work with good quality of algorithm are the only criteria for selection.
Ol-Zona
ByteCode
A programming contest. It will be held online for 5 days before the actual event. A set of 10 problem statements will be put up in the website on each of the 5 days of the contest and participants are needed to send their answers before the midnight of that particular day.
NutCracker
An online event of teasers. The contest will be held online for 3 days before the actual event. The format of participating is same as that of ByteCode.
Twilight Zone
An online quiz contest. It will be held online for 5 days before the actual event. The format of participating is same as that of ByteCode and NutCracker.
