The Department of Biomedical Engineering, University College of Engineering, is organising Meditech 2008, a national level technical festival, from 21st to 23rd February, at the Osmania University campus. The symposium is a biennial event presenting an inter-disciplinary forum of engineering, medicine and biology.
It consists of plenary and keynote lectures, themed symposia and paper sessions, covering all fields of mechanics in medicine and biology, with particular emphasis on the exchange of state of the art techniques and advances in the knowledge relating to the design and commercialisation of biomedical products.

Paper Presentations
Select papers will be open for competition among the students from institutions all over the country. The papers will be presented in four sessions on the given topics, such as Biomedical Instrumentation, Biomechanics, Biomaterials, Biometrics, Bioinformatics, Medical Imaging, Neural Networks, Robotics, Rehabilitation Engineering & Prosthetics, and Nano Technology & Applications.
Poster Presentation
Posters can be presented on any four topics given for paper presentations.
Ideas & Models
Consists of renovative ideas for improving the quality of life through biomedical engineering.
Guest Lectures
Eminent personalities from the field of biomedical engineering will present the latest trends in the industry, and the requirements of industry as well.
General Quiz
A concise general quiz will be organised on general science topics.
Online Gaming
The participants can clash and outwit themselves in the online battlefield.
