It's bigger, it's better and it's in a newer place. ICE is here again!
With the city abuzz with various handicraft exhibitions, property fairs, loan utsavs and food festivals, here's one more of the shoppers' delight, the Indian Consumer Exhibition (ICE 2006), from 30th November to 18th December, at the NTR Stadium.
The exhibition is playing host to about 275 domestic and foreign companies exhibiting various consumer goods including furniture, crockery, carpets, bed spreads, dining covers, artificial flowers and modular chimneys, along with real estate, consumer goods, electronic items, home appliances and more. Free gifts, lucky draws and discounts are on offer too.
Real estate developers such as Suchir India and Rishi Jaideep are all over the place offering plots and finished flat options. For homemakers, there's colorful ceramic crockery from Delhi, along with cups, lampstands, tray, dining table jars, serving bowls, dinner plates and small knick-knacks. Plastic goods like storage jars and laundry baskets for the home are also on display. Glen, Gilma and TTK Prestige are showcasing their electric chimneys, gas stoves and pressure cookers.
Electronic appliance makers like LG, Sony and Videocon have put-up their latest LCD and plasma TVs, air conditioners, washing machines, microwave ovens and home theatre systems on display, while FMCGs like VVD, Karnataka Soaps, Pankaja Kasturi and Vita Amla are exhibiting their lines of soaps, hair oils, shampoos and other toiletries.
With satellite television catching up pace, Tata Sky and Dish TV are the stalls you need to take a glance at. Countries like Pakistan, Iran and Turkey are also exhibiting their wares.
The exhibition is being sponsored by Anuradha Properties, Corporate Club, Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Gulf Oil India Limited, and is expected to attract around a lakh consumers. The entry is Rs. 35 per head, with children below 12 years allowed for free.
