HCA D Division One-Day Knockout Tournament: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR HCA D DIVISION ONE-DAY...

More of the plenty of local cricket happening this week. Including a club called Lucky XI. We ruut for them. Lucky 'er, guys!

The Hyderabad Cricket Association is organising the C-Division One-Day Knockout Cricket Tournament, from 4th to 7th December, in which 10 club teams are participating, given below:

Satyam Colts, Shalimar, Shanthi, Royal, Hyderabad District, YMRC, International, R R District, APAU, Time and Lucky XI

All the matches will be played at the Parade Grounds, in the knockout format. The 1st round matches will be played on 4th December, the 2nd round matches on 5th December, the 3rd round ones on 6th December, and the finals on 7th December. Satyam Colts and Lucky XI received 1st round byes, and they start their matches from the 2nd round.

Under this format, every team plays only the next team - i. e., the 1st team plays the 2nd team, the 3rd team with the 4th, the 5th with the 6th and so on. The winner of the 1st match plays with the winner of the 2nd, the winner of the 3rd with the winner of the 4th, and vice versa, every round. All the teams participating qualified from the league stages that were played during the months of August to November 2006.
