The Andhra Balananda Sangham is organizing both drama and poetry competitions for children in Telugu language. Students of classes II to IX can take part, but will have to produce certificates confirming their class. Participants will be divided into two groups. Group 1 will have students of classes II to V (sub-juniors) and group 2 will have students of classes VI to IX (juniors). The competition fee is Rs. 100 to take part in drama and Rs. 25 for poetry.
These competitions are being held as part of the annual festival competitions. The drama competitions will start at 11am, and will be followed by poetry competitions at 1pm.
The winners in the competitions will be honored in a program to be held at the Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha on February 24. Please contact Padmavathi at 2756-1443 for further details.
