The JNTU College Of Engineering is organising its annual cultural festival Spandana on the 10th and 11th of April, and as part of the cultural evenings, renowned Tollywood music director Chakri will be performing on 10th April. Chakri will perform some of his hit numbers from movies such as Itlu Sravani Subrahmanyam, Sivamani, Andhrawala, Idiot, Devadasu, Dhee and Desamuduru.
It has been a dream journey for Chakri who rose to become one of Tollywood's most happening music director from a salesman. He is the only one after Late Chakravarthy to have composed music for 18 movies in one year - whatever you think of that. Music was his passion since his college days when he first composed a patriotic song for the college function.
Chakri has worked under many established directors such as Puri Jagannadh, Y V S Chowdary and Krishna Vamsi, just to name a few. His first movie was Itlu Sravani Subrahmanyam in 2001, and since then, he has composed and also sung for more than 70 movies. Some of his hit numbers are Naire Naire from Andhrawala, Satte Ye Godava from Desamuduru, Bangaram from Devadas, Ye Mayo Mayo from Dhee, Sara Sara Sye from Idiot, and many more.
