Bharatanatyam Dance By Students Of R K Institute: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR BHARATANATYAM DANCE BY STUDENTS...

The R K Institute Of Dance And Music is organising a Bharatanatyam dance program on 14th April, at its institute premises. The concept of the dance is Sita Rama Kalyanam. The dance will be performed by the disciples of Sundari Ravichandra, the founder of R K Institute, and the performers are Anusree, Sangeeta, Madhuvani, Pujitha, Divya, Meghna, Keerti, Pratima, Niharika, Reshma, Punya and Shamili.

The items that they are presenting are Maha Ganapathim (the Ganesh stuthi), Namah shivaya, Paluke Bangaramayena, Rama Kodanda Rama, Idivo Bhadradri and Kalyanamu Chudamu Raarandi. Sundari Ravichandra is doing the nattuvangam, Srinivas is offering vocals, and Ramana Chary will be on the mridangam.

Sundari Ravichandra is a diploma holder in Bharatanatyam, and learnt the art from her guru Manjula Srinivas. Ravichandra stood first in the state in the competitions held by the state youth services in 2004. R K Institute Of Dance And Music was started by Sundari Ravichandra one year ago, at Rezimental Bazar, Secunderabad. The institute has about 75 students learning Bharatanatyam and Carnatic vocal, paying nominal fees. Students of R K Institute have performed at various venues of Hyderabad like Shilparamam, Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha and Ravindra Bharathi.
