Back To The Roots - Hindustani Music

In the midst of all the unbearable remixes, a Sangeet Sammelan would really feel out of place. That's why it's happening where it would feel right at home - in our city. Without sounding too immodest, our city is one of the fewest places in the country that has the perfect balance between the heavy tradition and the nonchalant modernization.



Keeping this aspect in mind, ITC Sangeet Resear Academy is organizing a three-day sammelan to showcase musical gurus and scholars of the academy, to the 'urban' civilization. This attempt to bring out an ancient art-form to the younger generations is a part of the silver Jubilee celebrations of the academy.



ITC has been doing much in preserving and propagating Hindustani classical music. This three-day sammelan is also to provide listeners and lovers of Hindustani music with an inspiring insight into nuances of this difficult art form.
