Shilparamam has already established itself as the hub of all the rural arts and crafts in the city. Now it will become the hub of something that's as rural as urban; as artistic as crude; as crafty as rubbish - rocks. Yup. Shilparama will now have rock sculptors, turning it into a rock garden soon.
Sculptors from across the state will participate in this event. Keeping in view with the theme of the envious, which is essentially rocky, this event of transformation will highlight the myriad forms of rock through the chisel of an artist.
National Award winner, Rajashekharan Nair from the craft village, will play host to the sculptor's camp. The best part of the whole deal is that we can see the transformation of a rock into a beautiful sculpture in front of our very eyes. To witness the handiwork of an expert artist at work is always a delightful sight.
