Ambadas Mahurkar started painting on the walls of his mother's womb. That's when you start when you have 40 years of artistic experience behind you. Here's all on him - Winner of 4 art awards at the national level, he has conducted more than 11 solo shows in India and abroad for 40 years now. He has also had the title of Chitrakala Kaushal conferred on him by Yoga Vedanta Forest University, given by his highness Swami Shivananda Rishikesh.
His collections are featured at AP Lalit Kala Akademi, Rajasthan Kala Akademi, Contemporary Art Gallery, APSRTC and Devengare Art Gallery. ICCR Art Gallery has taken a page out of the books of these art galleries and is now showcasing Ambadas Mahurkars' landscapes for 10 days. 87 paintings are being displayed at this exhibition which has been organized by Scribble Artists' Association.
