In a world poised on the brink of war, the end of all reason, here's how the artists convince us to look more compassionately at the world around us, and yes, to give peace a chance. Artists from Kolkata's Ravindra Bharathi University are here in the city to lend their vision and colours to help us make sense of what goes on out there. On display are paintings, sculptures, and graphics, all under the theme 'Reconciled Dialogue'.
The demolition of Babri Masjid, the Godhra carnage, escalating world tension, and the high-voltage lustre of urban life, everything finds expression at the show. A lot of the work is a combination of traditional and contemporary styles, although all the artists have distinct modes of expression. Artists at the show include, Chhatrapati Dutta, Adip Dutta, Krishna Biswas, Dolon Champa Ganguly, Parag Roy, Shreyasi Chatterjee and Sohini Dhar.
