Arthashastra At St Francis Degree College

In every city there is always a focal point, which more or less regulates the 
traffic flow and the heartbeats of the male population. When one is proposed with 
such a proposition in the Hyderabad scenario, one college wins hands down. It's 
St. Francis all the way, and anyone who begs to differ should just stop one of 
the many Romeos around the city and ask them the question. 



And no matter what the college does, it attracts attention, drawing huge crowds. 
A real life example of such a scenario will take place now. Arthashastra, a commerce 
fest, is being organized by the college and COFEE (Commerce Organization For Emerging 
Entrepreneurs). As its USP, there are various competitions organized to suit the 
participants' tastes: 



1. Bull's Eye, also known as 20 questions, for the people who regard themselves 
as being good at the game of asking questions and guessing right. The teams should 
consist of two members each. 



2. Qs and As, or Questions and Answers, for the brainiacs who would like to take 
a crack at the business quiz. The teams should consist of 3 people and there are 
two rounds - a preliminary and a final. 



3. The Mr. and Ms. CEO competition is for the glamorous as well as intelligent 
twosomes amongst the many. 



4. The Khamoshi or Dumb Charades event, consisting of 3 people per team, with 
sighs of exasperation or joy. 



5. Magnum Opus or the paper presentation - can be on any one of the given topics. 
The competition is for paired teams participating. 



6. Creativity and quick wit, with a pinch of ad sense, are needed on the double 
at the Ad Venture or the ad mad show. The teams should consist of 3 participants, 
and there is a preliminary round followed by a final round. 



7. For those believe creativity lies in the hidden world, there is the Picture 
Perfect or the collage competition. 



8. Arguing is often considered a negative characteristic, but at the Fire and 
Ice, the debate competition, this is sure to be the best gift God has ever endowed 
to those who can talk. Teams of 2 are allowed in this competition. 



9. A last minute entry in the form of Creative Writing, promises to impose no 
boundaries on the ramblings of ones imagination. Except maybe words. 



There is no restriction for entry at this fest. Just make sure that you are carrying 
an ID card and Rs. 30 as the entry fee. There are also going to be food stalls 
put up on campus for the hungry stomachs. As is the general custom, the winners 
of the competition are going to be given prizes. 



Expected are loads of people, for the purpose of having a good time, and indulging 
in quite some blared ogling. Oh, also to take part in the competitions. Whatever 
the motivation behind attending the fest, make sure you get there because it is 
sure going to be a hotspot for college-goers this Saturday.
