As all workshops go, this will too. And how is that? With a whole lot of experts telling you everything about something you've never heard of, hoping you'll learn something other than the number of times the lecturer shook his head with that nervous tick or the number of flies that perched on his bald pate, to add to his crowning glory.
CIEFL's Centre For Hispanic Studies, is planning to change all that. It is organizing a 3-day seminar-cum-workshop on modern Spanish cinema. The workshop will be inaugurated by Dr. Maria Jose Saez Brezmes, Rector, International Relations, University Of Valladolid, Spain. It will be conducted by experts on Spanish films. This workshop aims at increasing appreciation of the Spanish culture and recognizing the beauty expressed in their art.
The workshop will focus on films of acclaimed directors like Pedro Almodovar and of celebs like Alejandra Amenabar, Alex de la Iglesia and Montxo Armendariz. One such day will be dedicated to honor Dali's centenry year, by presenting the 1928 masterpiece of Luis Burieul and Salvador Dali, titled The Andalusian Dog. Please contact CIEFL on 2709-8131 or 2709-2033 for further details.
