Music Lovers Association was founded 8 years ago, and has so far organized numerous programs in Carnatic, Hindustani and instrumental music. The main aim of the association is to increase the number of classical music lovers. The only fee for all its members is their interest in the activities of the association. The hallmark event of the association is a special program called Veena Nanayagyam, which features 12 hours of music, from 8am to 8pm.
The association has also been organizing Sitar Samaroh for the past 5 years, which is a 3-day fest of instrumental music and involves the felicitation of various sitar and tabla artists. It also sometimes organizes ghazal programs and is looking forward to organizing demo lectures on music, so as to increase the awareness of classical music among the general public.
