Southern spice seems to be restricted to the food. The tinsel world here will have none of it. And so, film magazines of the South read like a studio reporter's diary, interviews are strictly polite conversations, and Quick Gun Murugan chooses to have his masala dosa and whisky on Channel V.
So what do you expect at an awards function for this industry? No nominees, no fancy evening gowns and no senti thank you speeches, thank you. Even stage performances will require significant Bollywood inputs - do you expect Chiranjeevi or Kamal Haasan to be dancing on stage?
