A 12-day workshop on acting is happening at the Sarojini Naidu School Of Performing Arts. The workshop is intended for the current and the former students of the school as an intensive training ground where they can interact with and learn from experts in the field from various parts of the country.
Some of the experts who are attending the workshop include S P Srinivasan from Gandhigram University, Tamilnadu; R Raju from Pondicherry; Veena, Basavalingaiah and V Ramamurthy from Karnataka; and Chakali Sreemulu from A P, besides the NSD Director Pankaj Saxena.
Students need, apart from their regular academic training, some practical training in the methods as well as the ethics of acting. And this intensive workshop is aimed at helping them learn various techniques from experts. They will enable them imbibe the sense of timing and the knack of holding the audiences' attention, which are considered the most important aspects of the theater.
