After the month-long
chess tournaments conducted by the YMCA at Secunderabad last month, it is
now the turn of that at Narayanaguda to host longer (44-day) ones for all the
young generals. The details of the tournament are as follows:
(1) 11th annual open chess tournament for boys & girls under 10 years

(2) 11th annual open chess tournament for boys & girls under 12 years
10th September 2001, 5.00pm

(3) 17th annual open chess tournament for boys & girls under 14 years

(4) 37th annual open chess tournament for boys & girls under 19 years
21st September 2001, 5.00pm

(5) 37th annual open chess tournament for college students

Last date for entries: 27th Sep 2001, entry fee Rs. 75
(6) Open chess tournament for men and women

(7) 3rd annual Kargil memorial open chess tournament

This tournament will be conducted under the latest FIDE rules. All college students should submit their entries through their respective colleges. Spot entries will not be accepted. Events with less than six entries will not be conducted. Players should quote their latest FIDE ratings if any while giving their entry.
