What do you get when you combine eight dancers from USA, UK and Turkey in one show? A bunch of complexed Indian dancers, hurling stones outside the auditorium.
Kala Khoj, Auroville and the Department of Tourism are organising a dance program titled 'Strings Unattached' by Thresh Dance Company, USA. The Chief Guest of the evening is Mrs. Chandana Khan, I A S, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Culture & YAT, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Thresh is a young, internationally acclaimed dance-theatre group whose creations are expressions of dialogues with the present. Strings Unattached is a program, which involves three contemporary pieces linked not by their themes, but by the musical instruments, a violin and cello. Each of the pieces revolve around the ancient and modern constantly dialoguing with the original score through the stringed instruments.
