The very words 'French Countryside' evoke poetry and romance even to those of us who've never seen that part of the world. Pampa Panwar has, and she shares her magical glimpses with us through her paintings, all of which were inspired by the summer and spring she spent at Marnay sur-Seine.
A treat for nature-lovers and armchair-travellers, this collection attempts to capture the colours of a landscape that comes alive when winter thaws and the earth wakes up. The works are full of vibrant life and rich in little enchanting details.
Other paintings by the artist, under the French Connection theme, are also on display. The exhibition is organised by the Alliance Francaise in association with the Birla Science Centre and the Embassy of France.
