The Department Of Culture is organizing the Buddha Jayanti festival at Shilparamam on 20th May. On this occasion, there will be a Kuchipudi dance ballet named Samaikhya Sambuddha by Ramadevi and party, on the Buddha's life. About 30 Kuchipudi dance artists will take part in the ballet. Srivalli Sharma, Sastry and Rama Krishna on vocal support, K Anil Kumar on the violin, Bhanuprasad on the mridangam, and Sridhar on special effects accompany the ballet.
Ramadevi is the disciple of Padmasri Dr. Shobha Naidu. She learnt Kuchipudi for 10 years, and has performed in more than 200 programs all over the world. She has also choreographed many ballets on her own, which include Swami Vivekananda, Samaikhya Sambuddha and Rukmini Kalyanam.
