Contemporary Arts & Crafts is all set to display the collection of Rehwa society. Rehwa is an NGO in Madhya Pradesh that provides employment to rural women and promotes the art of Maheshwar weaving. The collection has been christened the Fort Collection, after the fort that stands tall in Maheshwar where these designs take form.
Saris and dress material in earthy hues like stone, brick, rust and camel and tones of greys and greens have been used in this collection. The material exhibited is hand spun. It includes cotton, silk, cotton-silk and tussar. The designs and prints have been made especially for summer.
