Hyderabad District Badminton Championships: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR HYDERABAD DISTRICT BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Hyderabad District Badminton Association is organising the Hyderabad District Badminton Championships, at the Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy indoor stadium, from 13th to 15th July. Competitions will be held in both singles and doubles for the men and women, in the midget (Under-10), mini (Under-13), sub-junior (Under-16), junior (Under-19) and veteran (above 45 years) categories. The registration fee is Rs. 100 for doubles and Rs. 50 for singles, per participant.

Prizes in the form of goodies will be given to the winners, runners-up and third-placed players in each category. Participation certificates will also be given to all participants. The number of rounds will be decided on the basis of the number of final entries by the evening of 12th July. All the games will be in the knockout format.

The championship is being organised to select players to represent Hyderabad district in the State Midget Championships to be held in the East Godavari district from July 26th, the state men and women's championships to be held at Jagityal from 2nd to 5th August, the sub-junior championships to be held at Nandyal from 9th to 12th August, and the junior championships to be held at BHEL on a date to be announced.
