Kanth Risa is organising an exhibition of paintings from 12th to 15th July, at the ICCR Art Gallery. Titled The Most Beautiful Woman On Earth, the exhibition has about 35 paintings on display.
Mother Teresa has been Kanth's enlightening beauty that's influenced him since his schooling days. After his stint in art at the JNTU, he had decided to dedicate an exhibition of the Mother to her, and hence the current display.
The figures and portraits are lively, captured in different moods. The paintings on canvas in acrylic, mixed media and charcoal are representative of the Mother's simplicity, dedication and motherhood, be it towards a destitute or an orphan. Kanth had been to the Missionary of Charities in Kolkata to personally experience the Mother before carving them on to his canvas.
