There's no Hyderabadi who doesn't love biryani. More to its credit, there's no Indian who doesn't love biryani. Here's another tribute, in a befitting place.
Hotel Golkonda is organising 'Khush-Am-Deed', a biryani festival, at its Hyderabadi speciality restaurant Jewel Of Nizam, from 6th July. Special biryanis, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, will be available on a special a la carte menu, served for both lunch and dinner.
Khush-Am-Deed is an Urdu word for welcome. Executive Chef Vikas Grover, a highly experienced chef who's been associated with some 5-star hotels of the country, will monitor the festival. The special fest menu contains the following:

Jalpari Biryani (an assortment of prawns and fish marinated in special tangy marinade)

Lazeez-E-Gosht Biryani (traditionally prepared lamb biryani with age old recipes handed down generations)
Murgh Amber Biryani (boneless chicken biryani prepared traditionally)

The restaurant Jewel Of Nizam has been specially decked up to create an ambience akin to that of the royal Nizam era with the waiters and servers dressed in tradional suits and contemporary paintings of erstwhile Nizams, their palaces and their lifestyles, adorning the walls of the restaurant. Live ghazals will be presented by Maneezharuddin of Soor Singaar Sangeet Society, only for dinner.
