It's the monsoons after a blistering summer, and there's never a better time to be just another face in the crowd. Here's the perfect venue!

The Hyderabad Utsav Mela is back again this year, at the Gymkhana grounds. The fair, which starts on the 5th of June, will go on till the end of this month.

This year, too, the organisers have set up about 50 stalls of toys, handicrafts, textiles, readymades, glassware, artificial jewelry, cosmetics and footwear. Even though a majority are local traders, some have come from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The terracota from UP and wooden handicrafts from Bihar sell as hot cakes.

For the entertainment part, there are giant wheels, roller coaster rides, mini trains and other rides which take care of not only the kids, but also the grown-ups and the older lot. There is no dearth for food as fastfood joints have been set up serving piping hot mirchi bhajjis, vadas, paav bhajis, bondas and fried rice, besides ice-creams, soft drinks, tea and coffee.

With the temperatures dipping, don't forget to catch the Utsav Mela during the cool evenings. Entry is by tickets of Rs. 10 per head, available at the venue. Please contact the utsav office at 2790-5676 for further details.
