The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is organising the annual Open Ranking Carroms Championships, at the Victory Playground indoor stadium, from 9th to 13th August. There is no entry fee for participation, and anybody interested in taking part can register his/her name on or before 7th August.
Competitions will be held in the men's singles and doubles, women's singles, junior boys singles, junior girls singles, sub-junior boys singles, sub-junior girls singles, youth boys singles and youth girls singles categories. The games will be held in the knockout format.
The preliminaries will be held on 9th, 10th and 11th August, while the semifinals and the final will be held on 12th and 13th August respectively. Trophies and other prizes will be given to the winners, runners-up and losing semifinalists, in all the categories.
