Fashion Show By Asmita Marwah

Not many people would agree, but our statistics show that only 42% of the people 
at a fashion show go there to look at the clothes. Those 42% look at their own 
clothes to check if their fly is open or something. Only 7% of people at a fashion 
show actually have a look at the clothes on the models. These 7% love to laugh 
out loud. Then there's that last 1% of people who go to a fashion show to look 
at the models' clothes for artistic delight - the designer himself. Okay, it adds 
up to only 50%, but we didn't pay our statistician enough.



Anyway, the fashion show in the spotlight is showcasing one of city's best talents 
- Asmita Marwah. She's been in the field for 8 years and is the first Hyderabadi 
designer to enter our Telugu film industry. She designed clothes for stars like 
Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Preity Zinta and Shriya. She also has a successful fashion 
column in a leading newspaper. 



The show is Spring-Summer Collection 2004 with top models like Rahul Dev, Nethra 
Raghuraman and Jesse Randhawa walking the ramp. Hyderabadi models will also be 
a part of the show. The MC for the show is Ash Chandler, a popular stand-up entertainer. 
Nagarjuna will also be part of the group of bigwigs to be present there. But the 
sad part is that the events only for a select few - strictly by invitation.
