The Kakatiya dynasty inspired various people into various feats of greatness. For Manohar, it's given him a career centuries after it went extinct.
Shrishti Art Gallery is hosting an exhibition of paintings by Ch Manohar from 3rd February to 12th February. The exhibition showcases 12 huge paintings of Manohar, both abstract and figurative, with some measuring upto 55"x138". This is his 3rd solo exhibition at the gallery.
From a young age Manohar was inspired by the sculpture and statues from the great Kakatiya dynasty at the place he grew up, in his home town. This influence has stayed with him throughout his career. It was when Manohar began art school and learnt about the great masters of art history that a deeper understanding and perception of art began to evolve and change, for it challenged his ideas and notions of art and gave him new a new direction from which to begin.
Manohar was born in Warangal, and did his Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 1991-1996 and Masters in Print Making at the University of Hyderabad in 2001-2002.
