Several people who know Srinivas say that the awards he's received do no justice to his talent. He, however, does enormous justice to his city's reputation for producing the finest artists.
Alankritha Art Gallery is organising an exhibition of recent works by painter L N V Srinivas from 10th to 19th February. The display will contain about 30 abstract paintings done finely with oil and acrylic paints on canvas.
L N V Srinivas holds a BFA (painting) from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, and an MFA (Painting) from University of Hyderabad. He has exhibited his works at various places, such as Jahangir Art Gallery in Mumbai, Sridharani Art Gallery in New Delhi, Daira Art Gallery and Minaz Art Gallery in Hyderabad, and at various group shows at Atlanta, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Goa, Varanasi and Bhopal.
He has also participated in many art camps held by the State Bank of India in Hyderabad, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department in Vizag and Dr Reddy's Laboratories in Hyderabad, a graphic workshop conducted by Madras Regional Centre of Lalita Kala Academy at Central University of Hyderabad, and a camp by Max Muller Bhavan in Hyderabad. He also taught art at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad, during 1994-1998.
Srinivas is a recipient of various awards, like the National Scholarship from the Department of Culture, the Telugu University Award in 2001, and the Camlin Art Foundation Award in 2005, among others.
