Apparently, more people than 9th standard students and CAT aspirants are familiar with hexagons. This, er, sextet is actually making the word look good.
A group of six artists from Kolkata is exhibiting its paintings from 8th to 14th February at Chitramayee, State Gallery of Fine Arts. A collection of about 40 paintings titled as Hexagons, by Sujata Kar Saha, Biswajit Mitra, Chandranath Saha, Shubhabrata Bose, Sudipta Dutta and Utpal Dutta, will be on display.
Sujata Kar Saha has done Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA) from Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship, Kolkata, and MVA from Central College of Arts and Craft, Kolkata. She has participated in various group shows all over the country.
Biswajit Mitra has a BVA from the Government College of Arts and Craft, Kolkata, and MVA from Rabindra Bharathi University, Kolkata. He has participated in workshops and group shows.
Chandranath Saha is a BVA and an MVA from the Government College of Arts and Craft, Kolkata. He has been a member of many group shows all over the country.
Shubhabrata Bose holds a BVA from the Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship, Kolkata, and has participated in many group shows, too.
Sudipta Dutta has a BVA from the Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship, Kolkata. He has been part of various group shows in many cities of India.
Utpal Dutta has a BVA from the Government College of Arts and Craft, Kolkata. He has displayed his paintings in various group shows in the country.
