Whatever music may or may not be the food of, it certainly makes the buffs of the classical kind fatter for the annual New Year ritual. The classical music scene really heats up this time of the year, and if you are like the rest of us for whom New Year eves are just start reminders that another year has passed by with us just growing a year older in it and nothing much else, here's one of the several events that help beat the blues of D-Day approaching.
Nadabharathi is run by a group of motivated young musicians who work voluntarily and encourage other upcoming artists by organizing their recitals every month. This festival marks the successful completion of the second year of this classical music and literary forum.
"The objective of our organization is to preserve, promote and propagate all forms of classical music and literary and other fine arts, and to increase awareness among youngsters by organizing monthly concerts and musical and literary discourses. We also strive to promote the best talent in the field of classical arts," says the young founder of the institution, P Srinivasa Gopalan. And sure enough, these anniversary celebrations are focusing on young upcoming artists. Now even some of the senior musicians of the city have voluntarily joined to encourage the young group in its annual celebrations.
This is a list of the concerts that will be staged as a part of Nadabharathi's festival.
