Just when the music scene of the city was looking like it was all or nothing for you depending upon whether you digged pop or not, here's the biggest classical music event of the year!
A group dedicated to South Indian classical music, Kalasagaram organizes regular festivals by inviting renowned musicians, both instrumentalists and vocalists. The Carnatic music lovers of the city are among the regular audiences for these programs (most of them being Tamilians), which are always staged at the open auditorium of the Keyes High School For Girls. Kalasagaram also occasionally organizes classical dance concerts.
