There is a certain section of the population that believes that food at 5-star hotels tastes good. If you belong, here's a rendezvous that just made its way into your calendar.
On the occasion of Times Hyderabad Festival, free cooking classes are being organised by renowned chefs of the city, who will whip up Chinese, South-Indian, North-West Frontier, Italian and Hyderabadi cuisine, from 2nd to 6th April, at various premium eateries like Ahala, Firdaus and Golden Dragon of Taj Krishna, Kebab-E-Bahar of Taj Banjara, Dakshin of ITC Kakatiya, Mainland China and Touch.
Today, the 2nd day, Chef Chalapathi Rao will give a live cooking demonstration of South-Indian cuisine at Dakshin, the South-Indian speciality restaurant of ITC Kakatiya Sheraton. Chalapathi Rao is the executive chef at ITC Kakatiya Sheraton, and will demonstrate the cooking of some popular South-Indian dishes like Meen Moilee from Kerala, Erachi Paichathu from Karnataka, Kozhi Melagu Curry and Meen Varuval from Tamil Nadu, and Chapa Pulusu and Mirapakai Kodi from Andhra. The classes are free for everyone, but advance registration is compulsory.
