Hitkari is a reputed name in the world of crockery. From inception in 1946 in Ghaziabad near Delhi, their craftsmen have had a tradition of bringing out beautiful items, and today the premier organization makes crockery in some 5,000 designs.
Hitkari has organized exhibitions of crockery at different places in India, and is hosting one in Hyderabad at Necklace Road till the 5th of September. This will be a unique exhibition as the organizers are attempting to bring in entertainment, excitement and crafts along with ceramic.
From the unbreakable melamine crockery and art ware to special exquisite pieces, this place appears to have everything. Some special items which are on display are the unbreakable crockery with beautiful floral motifs on them, art ware pieces like pots and lampshades, ashtrays, spoon sets in intricate forms, figurines and even Italian designs on soap boxes. Also, a dinner set in 24-carat gold, corporate coffee mugs, juice tumblers, and basic crockery in the form of plates, dinner pieces and teapots are available at reasonable prices.
