One of the advantages of being literate is the sheer number of book exhibitions you can attend without knowing what you are looking for. And when books aren't selling, you get both more books to look at and lesser prices. Here's one more.
A quaint store situated right next to the Hyderabad Stock Exchange, The Bookpoint is a sister concern of Orient Longman. The shop keeps holding sales of various publishers every once in a while, and this time it is an exhibition-cum-sale of a wide range of Oxford India paperbacks in association with the Oxford University Press. The authors of the books on display include old favorites like Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr S Radhakrishnan and Jim Corbett, and recent ones such as Amartya Sen. A discount of up to 10 per cent is being offered.
