If you want to grow fat without noticing it, here's the dream solution. After its Navaratri Food Festival last month, the Taj Banjara is now treating the Hyderabadis to the cuisine of Awadh. This is essentially food created with the amalgamation of Muslim influence on the predominantly Hindu culture of Lucknow from the 11th century onwards. The food is famed for the subtlety of the ingredients, and appears light and delicate but is in fact heavy. And so you don't even notice the calories getting in.
Chef Abdul Haleem has been flown in from Lucknow to create the cuisine of Awadh in its original taste and flavor. The menu is elaborate, with kebabs like kakori kebab, galavat ke kebab and gobhi mussalam, and curries including taale shabnam and murgh joshina.
