Isshka is all set to display the summer collection of their 'Designer Of The Month' - Archana Ruia. While they indulge in titles such as these, most of us can't even get past the first word without stuttering a million times. So, well, this de-de-de-de-designer label is called Aura, and is the baby of Kolkatta based Archana Ruia. Archana Ruia has headed fashion stores like Espee and supplies clothes to Mumbai's Glitterati and Bangalore's Ffolio.
Her USP is the wide range from casual to formal wear which includes salwar kurtas in normal and mid-lengths paired with churidars and short kurtis paired with pants and both teamed with vibrant tie-and-dye dupattas. Her stuff also includes kurtis. The fabrics used are georgette, crepe, cotton, silk, cotton-silk, khadi, regional handlooms and tussars.
The common thread in all her creations is the simple cuts enhanced with surface detailing. The surface embellishment in the `Aura' label is not restricted to sequins. Archana uses pin tucks, shredding, machine stitch apart from woven fabrics with stripes and self-checks, while kundan, sequins in self, thread work with knots, zardosi, and mirror work bring in the floral motifs. There are over 450 sets on sale here and the prices start at Rs. 2,000 and go up to Rs. 3,500.
Please contact Isshka on 2335-3742 for further details.
