V S Lakshmi is an ordinary housewife devoted to God and to chanting Annamayya Sankeertans. On the event of Annamayya's 593rd Jayanthi (birthday) celebrations, V S Lakshmi will sing sankeertanas, which she says, are special compositions penned by her. A few of the compositions to be rendered by her are "Yemi Valasina Yeppudainanu" on Lord Venkateshwara, "Jayam Jayam Ika Janulara" on Lord Narasimha and "Vivamma Yashoda Govinda Krishnudu" on Lord Sri Krishna.
