These are the ones with whom the gods forgot the warranty. And however much the Big B might have glorified being a laawaris, it isn't at all cool. So an opportunity for a bunch of kids, abandoned as tiny tots and growing up as a family, to sing and dance in air of celebration is any day deserving.
The Apna Ghar orphanage turns 12 this month, and Abhinandana is its way of celebrating it. With various competitions being held on the occasion, this is a chance for the kids to prove their forte and win laurels. There's going to be a festive ambience of lively music and a lot of color, with a couple of skits and dance and song programs put up by these little known wonders of tomorrow giving the evening its finishing touch.
